Description
The mobile reader is a portable micro-controller with a built-in reader, which is used to verify the validity of electronic contactless cards in the MIFARE Classic/DESFire* standard. The device is powered by batteries, whose operating time varies between 15-20 hours (depending on the intensity of the device’s operation). A special program stored in the device allows a quick, automatic check of the validity of cards, catching invalid cards or those saved on so-called “black lists” with the possibility of blocking them. Records of performed checks are collected in the internal FLASH memory. Data exchange with a PC takes place via a dedicated dock connected to the ETHERNET network. The device is equipped with LEDs (red and green) indicating the validity of the cards (authorization level). The mobile reader is particularly useful for conferences and all kinds of mass events, where “random” authorization of card validity is very important.
